NPSG Australia Managing Director Tracey Wester attended Day 1 of the Workplace Health & Safety Show in Melbourne this week. Regarded as Australia’s largest showcase of safety technology, products, and services, brought together champions of workplace safety from across the country. The show featured over 160 innovative suppliers displaying the latest in health and safety products, technologies, and services. With over 4,000 professionals in attendance, the show offered numerous networking opportunities.

 Key Topics at the Show

Construction: The show introduced the Construction Summit, featuring expert-led sessions on the latest products, services, technologies, and legislation impacting the construction industry.

Mental Health & Psychosocial Safety: Over two days, experts in mental health shared the latest legislative changes and compliance strategies. These sessions highlighted the importance of mental well-being in the workplace and how leaders can support their teams effectively.

Technology: The Spotlight Stage and Knowledge Hub were focal points for learning about the latest safety technology innovations. Sessions covered AI, wearable technology, IoT, and cybersecurity, offering a comprehensive view of how technology is transforming workplace safety.

Compliance & Legislation: Industry experts discussed recent changes to safety legislation and compliance requirements. These sessions provided practical advice on maintaining compliance and promoting best practices to ensure a safe working environment.

Reflecting on the day, Tracey said, "The Workplace Health & Safety Show was extremely valuable. It was great to network with industry leaders and keep abreast of the latest legislative changes.
