NPSG Australia Managing Director, Tracey Wester recently attended the "Accelerating to Net Zero Logistics" event held at Bells Hotel in South Melbourne. Organised by the Supply Chain and Logistics Association of Australia (SCLAA), this panel and networking event focused on the critical issue of heavy transport emissions, which account for 17% of all emissions in Australia.

The event sponsored by Bestrane, brought together industry leaders to share their insights and experiences in tackling carbon emission control while fostering business growth. The discussions centred on initiatives to reduce emissions and accelerate the transition to net-zero logistics emissions.

The speakers included Lex Forsyth and Catherine Baxter and was followed by a Q & A moderated by Dave Sanders.

Lex Forsyth, General Manager, Janus Electric:
With 27 years of experience in energy supply for large transport and logistics businesses in Australia and the US, Lex Forsyth has been a key driver behind the electrification business model, addressing the fundamental costs of running a transport business.

Catherine Baxter, Chief Operating Officer, Team Global Express:
Catherine leads a team of over 7,000 employees and several thousand contractors, focusing on delivering products safely and on time, improving customer experience, and supporting business growth.

Dave Sanders, Managing Director, Bestrane:
Founder of the Bestrane Group, Dave Sanders aims to design, implement, and operate industry solutions that reduce waste in the transportation and logistics industry through innovative business models.
