Making a Difference, One Sandwich at a Time

On Monday, 9 September, NPSG Australia's Managing Director, Tracey Wester, and a group of dedicated volunteers gathered at Amazon’s Melbourne office to support a cause close to their hearts: feeding hungry students. In collaboration with Eat Up Australia, the team participated in a high-energy sandwich-making sprint, preparing over 1,000 sandwiches in just one hour!

In Australia, 1 in 5 students in schools supported by Eat Up arrive without the food they need to fuel their minds and bodies. For these children, hunger impacts not only their ability to focus but also their learning, leading to fatigue, behavioural issues, and falling behind their peers.

Tracey Wester expressed her gratitude and enthusiasm for the opportunity to contribute, saying, "It’s such an important cause, and I thoroughly enjoyed being able to help. I was delighted to be invited by Asad Gill from Amazon, to join this event. Knowing that we are supporting vulnerable children and making a tangible difference is incredibly rewarding."

The Critical Mission of Eat Up
Founded with the belief that no child should go hungry, Eat Up is the only charity providing lunches to students in need on a national scale. They deliver over 20,000 lunches to more than 700 schools each week and have provided nearly 3 million lunches to date. For children facing financial hardship, family instability, or homelessness, these meals represent more than just food—they are a stepping stone to educational success and breaking the cycle of poverty.
